Description: The naginata is a traditional Japanese sword-like pole weapon, similar to the European glaive or halberd. While originally a weapon of war, the naginata now has both a form appropriate for modern competitive sport as well as a wooden form (somewhat less lethal than the original steel one) for the safe study of the ancient forms. The martial art discipline Atarashi Naginata is more than mastery of the weapon; respect, discipline and proper state of mind are just as important as physical development.

Description: Ice rink and locker rooms are designated for YMCA adult hockey leagues. Seasonal registration required. A no checking hockey league for adults, 18 years and older, of all levels. There are 12 regular season games followed by a post-season playoff series with up to three games. Each team has a chance to earn free ice time at the end of each season based on their sportsmanship during the season.
